Quick answer: An unofficial ticker copy is a permissionless token that borrows a name or symbol — no authenticated RHJ contract, no create/redeem bridge, attention only, and never the stock.
Research classification. Not trading advice. Not for US persons. Not the cash stock. Authenticate the contract before mapping any token to a US ticker. See classification / methodology.
Unofficial ticker copies
Query: Is an unofficial ticker token the stock?
Isolated from the official rails. Permissionless. No authenticated RHJ contract. No create/redeem. Attention / ticker-confusion only. Never the stock.
What a face ticker is
Anyone can deploy a token that copies a listed name or symbol. That contract is not an RHJ Asset Stock Token, not a Classic RHEU balance, and not a Coinbase B20. It has no authorised-participant mint or redeem against the listed share.
Authenticate first
Authenticate the contract before mapping any token to a US ticker. RHJ tokens are checked against the RHJ registry. B20 tokens are checked against the seeded Coinbase registry. Everything else that merely says NVDA or AAPL is a copy until proven otherwise.
Attention never enters rank
Unofficial volume is an Attention bucket. It does not mix into Inventory, New risk, or Collateral. Combined rank is the max of those three official-rail measures. Copies never share official columns on the tape or on a name page — see NVDA and methodology.
A copy does not create a cash-market hedge by existing. It can confuse attention. That is a different mechanism.
